Ten is a big birthday for an Army brat--it means Dunn gets his very own ID card. For that reason, I remember turning ten very well. Rachel made the cake to Dunn's exact specifications, with a little help from our neighbor and friend Liz Nielson.

A somber Mommy lights the birthday candles.

I love the way this shot captures Chase's enthusiasm. As Mommy says "A present for one is a present for all." In the bag is a very nice internal frame backpack. All part of the master plan.

Grandma Westhoff came through with the latest Holy Grail for the kids...a second Xbox controller!
Happy Birthday Dunn! I remember well the day you were born. I also remember stealing you from your mom and packing you all around the south of BYU campus like the proud Aunt that I was (and still am). I used to show you off to all of my friends and let all the strangers think you were mine!
Wow, it's weird to think I was a 7th grader when you were born and that I am only 13 years older than you. Happy Birthday!
HI Dunn! Looks like you were pleased with the Xbox controller. I cannot believe I have a ten year old grandchild - boy how time flies! Next thing I know - you'll be asking for the car keys and then going off on your mission. Maybe you will get to go to a foreign country like your dad!! HA! Congratulations on making the two digits - smile big for your ID card! Love you, Grandma
//////////////////////Dear Dunn//////////// I hope you have a wonderful time in Japan with your Dad. How many kids get to ever do that. MAYBE YOU WILL GO ON A MISSION TO JAPAN BECAUSE YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN THERE/ OR AS YOUR OTHER GRANDMA SAYS A FORIEGN LAND LIKE YOUR DAD. WE LIVE IN ANOTHER PLANET. MAYBE YOU WILL SERVE NEAR HERE. 9 YEARS WILL GO BY SO FAST AND WE REALLY WILL BE TALKINGABOUT YOUR MISSION. HAVE A BALL ON YOUR ADVENTURE. LOVE GRANDMA RACKHAM
